October 1, 2003: Conviction: In the fifth-season opener, the gang adjusts to life after joining forces with Wolfram & Hart. The team soon learns that, in business, evil is a relative term and battles must be carefully chosen if the firm is to remain operational and at their disposal. As the crew sifts through client profiles in an effort to locate their first case, Angel is caught off-guard by his new assistant.

October 8, 2003: Just Rewards: While the gang tries to figure out how and why Spike has suddenly appeared in L.A., Angel tries to stop a Wolfram & Hart client from using corpses as human vessels for demon spirits.

October 15, 2003: Unleashed: Angel races to locate a young woman (Jenny Mollen) bitten by a werewolf before the next full moon, when her transformation will make her dangerous to some and appealing to others.

October 22, 2003: Hell Bound: As Fred works nonstop to embody Spike, the gang links his unintentional disappearances to an evil spirit who's feeding other specters to hell in an effort to delay its own descent into the torturous realm.

October 29, 2003: Life of the Party: In addition to handling Wolfram & Hart's celebrity clients, Lorne is also in charge of the firm's annual Halloween bash, an event he's having a devil of a time getting the gang to commit to attending. But as soon as his pals show up at the party, they suddenly submit to his every suggestion.

November 5, 2003: The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco: On the Mexican Day of the Dead, Angel has a run-in with a Wolfram & Hart employee (Danny Mora) who's connected to an Aztec warrior demon that thrives on the hearts of heroes. Elsewhere, Spike researches the Shansu prophesy, while Angel wrestles with personal issues.

November 12, 2003: Lineage: As the gang investigates a team of cyborg assassins, Wes gets a visit from his estranged father (Roy Dotrice), who brings news of a re-formed Watchers' Council. But the social call soon sours when the elder Wyndam-Pryce encounters Angel, who's the real reason he's in L.A..

November 19, 2003: Destiny: Drusilla (Juliet Landau) returns in flashbacks that reveal more of Angel and Spike's contentious past as the vamps race to find the Cup of Perpetual Torment in hopes of fulfilling the Shanshu prophesy.
